Intercultural Day
Greetings everyone. I hope you are all keeping safe and well.
Itโs that time of year again when we would normally celebrate our annual Intercultural Day in school. ๐Unfortunately this year it is not possible to celebrate it in the way we normally would have.ย
As our school, our community and country have such an immense wealth of cultures we believe it is very important to acknowledge and celebrate this fact. This year we have decided to invite parents and children to participate in a somewhat different way. The lesson plans of the week of June 15th will include songs, stories and activities that have an intercultural theme. Friday,June 19th is the day we would like to invite the children (and parents) if they would like to, to dress in their national costumes, colours of their flags or county colours and send your photos to your class teacher or upload on Seesaw. You could just upload a greeting if you like or colour in a picture of your flag. I know we will not be able to share or taste the flavours of the World ๐ but you could share photos of the delicious food that you so generously bring to the event every year.
I hope your children will enjoy the activities and we look forward to seeing lots of photos!
